This home gets me. I see a 7′ Baldwin Grand Piano and 2 Eames chairs in the sitting area, with the pianist able to look near directly through the open sliders to the dense and colorful zen garden landscape.

I also see a useful and beautiful raised container garden on the roof, mixed with butterfly and hummingbird attractors.

Lastly, a catwalk that runs to a raised ‘tiny workshop’ where I would continue building my modified version of the Bishop Table, with oiled Santos Mahogany or Black Walnut top…

To cold and sterile. And try to get this place for 35K. Not exactly your basic THOW.

I disagree about the cold and steril, but your spot on about the price. Shoots the tiny house concept right in the heart.

Good thing this isn’t a tiny house website.

lol, a $35k tiny house on wheels would be kind of out of place on this site.

    Corporate taste. Boring and cold.

I guess one person’s cold and sterile is another person’s clean, crisp, and cool. Wonderfully airy and bright.

I see no warmth here, it would be cold even for professional offices,

I love it. I would definitely have to get rid of my clutter; like the clear view and open spaces

Easy enough to redecorate to a warmer, more colourful style. I love the basic structure and the decks.

I really like the house but I would really like it to be on the ground, but its nice to have a covered area for the cars.

I like the concept. But just where do you find an architect that will even think like that? Then where do you find a builder that can build something as different as that for less then a million dollars? The tiny house concept goes out the window as soon as you talk price. Honestly, what’s that place cost?

I’m very much your traditional, farm house, country loving gal but I gotta admit… this is a pretty cool house. When I see houses like this, with all the straight edges and rigidity, I usually just skim through the pics and move on. But I took my time with this one for some reason. Maybe the openness with the all the glass or the time of day the pics were taken or the variety of wood throughout the home. Not sure but I really like it. Thanks for sharing!

Fine Architecture speaks for itself and can usually stand up to all kinds of criticism as well as the ‘test of time’ whether it is our particular taste or not. O.k. so I find the interiors a little ‘antiseptic’, but seeing how the house looks out unto its environs with framed views and vignettes of nature; I can overlook such trivial minor changes necessary to really make this beauty reflect my own best case scenario and Home.

I’m I seeing that correctly? Is that a totally open wall with no railing and a six foot drop?

I love the pilings and the style. But architects are supposed to be more than sculptors.

beautiful home; sq. feet? I’m guessing it’s 500 sq,.feet. I would love a house like this. Unfortunately mine would be messy!

Reviewing this with enjoyment while hearing Etta James singing ” That’s why I love mankind ” ramblin’ round the house and like a knucklehead posting this comment. Goodnight Y’all !!!

I love love love how this house brings the tranquil outdoor views inside with all the glass. The low, flat ceilings and wood tones everywhere lend some warmth to what would otherwise be a rather cold and stark space.
