Hello! My house was built in 1939 in the Catalina Foothills of Tucson, AZ. It is a small adobe home at 750 square feet. I’ve lived in it for about three years now and run a small urban mushroom farm out of the backyard (which is not shown in the pictures). We are called Old Pueblo Mushroom Growers(https://www.facebook.com/pages/Old-Pueblo-Mushroom-Growers/438201949596772 ). I am a big fan of your site and swoon daily over the beautiful homes you share.

A small 1930’s adobe home in Tuscon, Arizona. Shared and owned by Nicole DeVito.

Wow this is a beautiful home! I live in Tucson as well, near downtown in an old shotgun style row house. I love seeing small homes from the area with so much character!

    Nicole,
We live in a townhouse in tucson and can’t wait for the city to start including small dwellings as part of its strategic plan to provide affordable quality housing

Well here is a big GO Tuscon, approve those zoning changes!
Perfect example of the durability of pueblo architecture, the adobe home. 70 years strong in this case.
Now what REASONABLE justification could there ever be to a well built, adobe home not being approved?
NONE. Not to forget straw bale, peat (across the pond), too, the materials of the masses for millenia, globally.
Lovely home. Nicole, you be one smart lady. Good going with the mushrooms. I bet you wonder why more people don’t do just as you are in this regard. Great crop, so smart. The best to you and yours.

Wow! I’m pretty sure I rented this house in the early 90s. Loved it then and love what you have done with it.

I’m from New Mexico and have always loved adobe. Cool in the summer, warm in the winter. The ancients knew what they were doing. One of these days I’m going to live in an earthen home. They are so much more “organic” feeling and cozy. Love the funky little details in this one!
