Is there any chance of setting an upper limit on the square footage of a small house for the purposes of this blog? This one is easily 1500 square feet. Lately the size of the houses has been drifting upwards.

I agree! This is not a small house—but it is beautiful.

Small by who’s standards? To me five or six hundred sq ft is small but if i had four kids and a dog well that would change my perceptions of small. The whole idea behind posting these is to get ideas for doing or buying one of your own, or it is for me, so from that perspective ideas and inspiration for a build or a style can come from any size.
This place has some pretty fantastic build ideas for me, the large porches make it look a lot bigger than it is. Most photos are deceiving, standing in a corner to take the pic makes the rooms look bigger, different lenses can change how a room looks, without posted dimensions it’s a bit hard to judge size.

I agree with Robert (above). One of the houses I just looked at on this blog was easily over 2000 sq ft. The whole point is to have a blog about tiny houses. If you want to see homes that aren’t so tiny, you can basically look at any other blog about houses.
