This an example of a perfect efficient home design going out of our economical reach… all that wood from floor to ceiling make this gorgeous home budget deficient. If I can afford so much decorative wood, I will rather spend it in a bigger home. Architect and designer tend to forget the purpose of living in a small dwell is for a small budget with efficient revenues. Just a humble observation and no a illusion breaking

If you go direct to the timber mill & you buy low grade timber by the pack you would be very plesantly suprised at the low price !

Someone should build one and display the budget. How cheap can one of these be built ?

How can anyone afford typical building construction these days ?

What a delightful example of minimalism. From the home design itself to the simple, elegant furnishings, this would be an exquisite place to spend many leisurely hours. Bravo!

Lisa, this home is in Sweden. If you scroll down just under the last picture, you’ll see a few words about the designer & location. But, you made a great guess. Reminds me of that area, too.

All that wood is what makes smaller living bearable. The comment is a perfect example of American building: why make something Beautiful and lasting when we can make it… BIGGER !!!

The finishes in this home probably cost 30% more. I know it could be much more but there’s ways to economize in all areas. I’d rather have at home with 1000 ft.² of livable space, then 1400 ft.² of drywall, cheap windows, builders grade carpet etc. You get what you pay for.

By the way, I think the way the home is integrated with the stone surrounding looks fantastic.
