My 850 sq ft cottage is one of many charming year-round cottages in Campwoods Grounds, which was once a Methodist summer revival camp in NY. Lovingly kept throughout the years, winterized and updated for comfortable life in the 21st century, the cottage is a haven just minutes from the Ossining town center and is a short commuter train ride to NYC.
The cottage has two bedrooms (one on first floor, and one on second floor with sitting room area), 1 full bath (up) and one lavatory (under the stairs), living room, dining room, kitchen, office/tearoom off kitchen, & laundry. The office/tearoom opens to a deck that overlooks a wooded ravine and babbling creek, and there is a patio on the side off the kitchen & laundry room.
A victorian style cottage with 850 square feet of living space in Maryknoll, New York. More info. here.

What a wonderfully charming small home!
So absolutely beautiful!! This is what an ideal small house is to me!
Charming and cozy. I don’t like all the ultra modern and sterile feeling spaces. I love all the art and whimsy, it looks loved and it has life.
Darcy: EXACTLY. I hate when I get all excited about one of these houses and the inside looks like an operating room.
I thought this might be in Campwoods Grounds. I tried to buy a house there a few years ago, but was heartbroken when I realized I didn’t have the money to get it healthy and safe. Someday I would like to try again. Good on you for making this house so beautiful. I know what kind of work you must have put into it.
Cozy, charming, serene! Breezy for summer and snug for winter. The decorating is fun too. Like others said, not to sterile, but not too busy either. What a delight!
Absolutely adorable!
adorable!
This is just lovely.
I’ve been lucky enough to see this house in person and it’s even better than it looks here! These photos are lovely, but they just don’t capture the warm, cozy feeling that the house has. Natural light pours in through the big and plentiful windows and glass doors and warms all the lovely natural wood throughout the cabin. This is the best place to escape the city and curl up with a tea and a good book!
