Love this idea! Beautiful house, with such a warm, inviting feeling. If I knew where to put it, I would like to have one.

Ok….I want this!!
How much would something like the run me in terms of cost?
Love this but I think I would take the ceilings down a notch to maybe 10′ instead of the 16′ they have depending on where you put this cabin. In hot climates it would be necessary to take the ceilings down and it would be a must to have the cabin under large shade trees where you wouldn’t have the blare of the summer sun in the afternoon/evenings. Trying to keep this thing cool would be a priority.
re: treehouse
I think this tree-house is located on Hood Canal on Puget Sound. In the evening, the cool winds pick up, I didn’t count opening windows, but that and the existing fans would be perfect. Also advantageous is the near water placement which tames the summer heat and the winter “cold.” Unless you are East in the mountains, Seattle residents have a very moderate year.
I just love this place. I love it. Someone should be nice and give it to me.
Although an interesting bit of architecture and the fact that I usually like strong lines, this house has just way too many in my opinion – ‘It’s over the top – and fights for attention with the sites beautiful surrounds and view. Great stacking though, from the carport on up!
Not a comfortable chair in the whole place. Who would want to spend time here? You even have to tote the firewood up those stairs all of the time. They took a beautiful lot and put something that tries way too hard to be different.
As for the 16 foot ceilings-the weather doesn’t get that hot on Hood Canal. You are near a lot of water. Milder climate all year long.
Luv this little house . Lots of glass and off the grid with class. Looking for plans/blueprints to build my own.
