I love this place! I wonder how much it would cost to build in Gloucester, VA and how much square footage it has? What a perfect GUEST HOUSE or just a place to have some ME time. Does it have a foundation? If no foundation, then this stunning home could be constructed in my back yard without having to get special building permits. I am looking to having my own ART Studio built in my backyard. I love the flower boxes and landscaping. There is nothing I don’t love in this home.
Don’t see how this house could be “off the grid” relying solely on solar power since in several of the photos there are substantial electric resistance-heaters on the walls. These are high-amperage items. Otherwise, I love the house.
I love these cottage communities! So many of us are drawn to downsize, live alone but connected to others nearby…
The only thing I don’t see in a lot of these cottages and floor plans is enough closet space or in the best places, but then again, closets are sexy for a photo shoot like this.
Still LOVE it best when entries come with a drawing of the floor plan!
Please note, this home was designed by Ross Chapin Architects. It was built by the Cottage Company as a part of the Greenwood Avenue Cottage development.

Well Done. What beautiful place…..
I love this design. If you want to see the floor plan it is the “Lavetera” on Ross Chapin’s website. He creates the loveliest smaller homes….
would love to have an area in Tulsa for tiny homes I would be there in a heart, as soon as I could sale my house.
I wish it was for sale. I love this home!

is this a village of tiny or small homes? If so, where and what is sq. footage?
Lovely…but looks like it was furnished by Home Depot. Where’s the soul?

Yes, Melissa, it is the Lavatera Cottage and the plans are available through the Ross Chapin website. Here’s the link:

This is one of the best small houses I have ever seen! Just love it! That bright and airy sunroom/dining area is wonderful!!
