I was wondering what kind of siding is used on the house.

This is beautiful and holds everything a person (or more) needs. Did the owner also draw up the plans, was there something that inspired the floor plan?

This is a great picture website! I finally found the square feet on this post 704 which I was amazed I thought it was bigger than that.. Great post…

This is am incredible house! I would love to live in something like this. Could a house like this be built in the north east? I think homes like this would be great for seniors, maybe even a small senior community. Beautifully done

I agree with the idea of small senior homes in a community setting. My husband and I plan to retire within a year, sell a 5000 sq ft house and build a small, sustainable, low impact home. I’d love to live in a community setting with other like-minded people.

This is an interesting site and I love looking at the houses, but it would be nice if there was also some words to go with it. It would be great to have the homeowner/homebuilder explain their choices in layout, materials, know the square footage (maybe put that in the title for each post?) and also what it cost to build.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE … who is the manufacturer of that wood burning stove? It is the perfect size for my small house and I LOVE it! Is there a website where I might find such a wondrous thing?

    Thanks,
    Stef

google “wood burning stove” and then click on “images” and you’ll see some that are very similar. If you click on one you’re interested in, you can see if the website is one where they are sold or if it’s just someone’s blog or whatever.

Portlandia at its funky offbeat best. There are so many singular elements, objects and practicalities depicted that I have looked into myself. As for your two gorgeous dogs, the one so seemingly noble and wise, the other so purely elegant, if you ever need a house or pet sitter I’m AVAILABLE !!! I could even paint them from their photograph here alone. TY for your ultra cas and comfy posting !!!

I could be mistaken, but I swear I saw this home featured on HGTV awhile back and absolutely fell in love with the interior. It’s compact, yet offers all the spaces I want and need.
