So clean, simple and unencumbered. A restful haven amidst the busyness of its’ surroundings. When visiting the Sausalito area and even having met two really great guys from the nearby marina that helped my friend in a wheelchair up a 2 story flight of stairs to be able to eat and thus take his meds., I wish we had explored the marina had we known a home like this may have been there ! Really nice home, memories and area – Thank You.
What a delightful design: bright and sunny. compact, practical, fresh —- so many good features. I wonder, might we know now many total square feet in this houseboat? Seems to me that the design would make a joyous little land cottage.
I love house boats, and this one is no exception…! It is one of the best house boat designs out there.. The roof being bowed the way it is, makes the home less likely to be pushed around by winds, which is one of the biggest problems with homes on the water… The free flowing rooms are uncluttered and give that high end quality yacht design look.. Even being 2 floored this boat still has that water tight, storm beaten, and high winds tolerant which are associated with living on the water as I said before, would make it home which would be a pleasure to call your own… Ah…! The comfort of living on the water..

Claudius… follow up is not the best on THL or Small House Swoon – neither by the owners of the sites, the owners of the properties, listers or those submitting entries/pictures for our perusal as subscribers. I guess only “serious inquiries” and professional researchers waving checkbooks get any attention. We’re just the general public so to expect anything more than ‘eye candy’ is asking too much evidently. Real information is sketchy at best. On rare occasions there is some disclosure or transparency. Here on SHS there may be a line or two saying who the Architects or Design Firm(s) are and I would assume that you might contact them for a consult or any consideration of things like reputable builders, marketers etc. and building plans. GOOD LUCK!
This appears to be a Justice Log Home Kit or one like it…I think using these systems for creating floating homes is a natural fit..I would go so far as to recommend using the Park Model RV format as costs are so much lower for about the same results.

Would the owner be willing to share the builder of this custom houseboat? I would be very interested in contacting him or her.

This is a perfect tiny house on or off a marina. It is lavishly spacious and beautifully crafted. Anyone could stay here and feel right at home.
love it
Why aren’t there answers to the questions posed?
