Are they for real…..>400K for 960 sq. feet. Really?

      • Reply Alexandra Grey May 22, 2015 at 5:03 pm

It’s the Berkshires in MA, an extremely expensive area. In this case, it’s the location, not the size, that determines this house’s price. I’m with you, though – 400k is an insane price for the size. I suspect they won’t be able to sell it for more than 350k, if that.

LOVE !!! this one. Are the modified plans available? Exactly what I’ve been looking for – a great kitchen and room for a small piano in the “living room.” This one is great!

  • Reply Abby July 20, 2014 at 7:56 pm

Does anyone know the building cost of this (I recognize prices vary by market but a rough estimate)? It is beautiful!

  • Reply Debbie July 20, 2014 at 9:07 pm

There are a handful of small/tiny houses out there that I feel are just perfection achieved and this is one of them. Bravo! When do I move in?! 😉

  • Reply Vivian July 21, 2014 at 3:30 pm

Definitely interested in seeing how it was expanded from the original plans! It is a beautiful little home. I’m curious as to how much the expansion would cost compared to the original.

I am so interested in tiny houses, but have loads of questions regarding insulation, plumbing and heating, price per square footage. This house is perfect!!! Is this a single floor home? Where would I look to find out more about tiny house living and what people are really saying about their experiences? What problems do they face with a tiny home? Are they livable in the winter time?

  • Reply Patty July 21, 2014 at 6:43 pm

My hubby said he likes this house and if we could do this on a basement, he would actually consider selling this 2300 sf home we live in and get something like this!!!! I love this house!!!!!!!! Can’t wait for more information on it.

I also would like more info on this plan. I had just showed the original plan to a builder, but this one is perfect. I would rather go with some sort of door instead of sliding glass door.

Not since ” Little House – Little Rock” have I been this impressed! Truly Great variation on the practical and “homey” forerunners. Worthy of all the positive comments posted, I too request any and all information available. Thanks for the inspiration and restoring my interest in this site as well as introducing another. Look forward to future postings, comments and details related to this house or others similar.

I love the whole concept of downsizing. The tiny homes are well, too tiny for me. I love Small house swoon but find that most of them are good for short stays and not year round living. This place is great. One of my pet peeves is storage, or, lack of. I wish closet and storage spaces were also highlighted in photo’s……

This place is beautiful!! I love the high end appliances. I feel like it is too white for me, but to each is own. The bathroom tile really makes that bathroom! I would move in today!!

I would really like to find a pre-built custom home with appliances on one level, with a 15 by 30 garage for my tools / sports car & live there for the rest of my life some where in New Hampshire for about $40,000 with owner financing as I am having a difficult time finding a leading institution to do this for me without wanting very large closing fees. Please advise or a converted barn non-commercial where the lower floor is the garage with living quarters upstairs with a long open concept bedroom, full bath room with shower, kitchen, living room, combo? Please no HOA fees on it’s own land near to a major high way, with spring water from a private tested well, sewage, also with a large ref/freezer, dish washer, gas cooking stove, with oven, etc., on maybe 1 or 2 A’s? Thank you for taking the time to read my request. MP
